Motoko met Panam at an Aldecaldo BBQ in the Badlands after saving Scorpion from Raffen Shiv. The Aldecaldos considered it a serious debt. Panam extended genuine hospitality and friendship, eventually telling Motoko to call her for anything. She meant it.
Their relationship is built on mutual respect and operates outside the usual Night City transactional framework. Panam calls Motoko for escort gigs, road trips to handle Badlands business, and shares personal conversations during long drives. She considers Motoko part of her extended nomad family. In a city full of chooms who'd sell you out for the right price, Panam is the one who drives across the desert to pick you up.
