Nox
Mox BD hustler who Motoko saved from a beating outside Lizzie's. Turned that rescue into a business empire selling Motoko's combat recordings to every street kid in Night City.
// Appearance
The story introduces him mid-beating with a sprained ankle and a bag of condom-wrapped BDs. Not much physical description beyond that. He's a hustler who reads as scrappy, resourceful, and perpetually in motion. By the time he has eddies, he buys an internal agent and a car. Still dresses like someone who remembers being broke.
// Background
A Mox BD seller Motoko saved from three gonks outside Lizzie's Bar. He dragged her inside on a sprained ankle to thank her, which got Motoko her first introduction to the Mox. He disappeared for a stretch after the kidnapping arc, then resurfaced with a business pitch: record Motoko's merc work as braindances, get Judy Alvarez to edit them, and sell edgerunner-experience BDs to street kids. Motoko fronted 500 eddies and a recording implant. It worked.
The BD business grew fast. Nox kept meticulous books on cuts owed to Motoko and Judy, pioneered mass distribution through street sellers, and eventually got flush enough to upgrade his own chrome. He's the one who titled Motoko's scav den massacre recording 'The Only Thing They Fear Is You' and sold it uncut. The model he built became the template others copied, including David Martinez selling BDs on the street using the same approach.
